Peaceful living

Romans 12:15-18
15  Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
16  Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly, Do not be wise in your own estimation.
17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone, Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
++++++++++++++++++++++
It is sometimes easier to weep with those who weep than to rejoice with those who rejoice! Envy sometimes gets in the way. The sum of this passage is that we should encourage one another! The question: Am I an encourager? In all our relationships, we should seek to encourage. Thus we will also be in peace!

The Lord has done great things!

Psalm 126:1-3
1  When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
2  Then our mouth was filled with laughter
And our tongue with joyful shouting;
Then they said among the nations,
"The LORD has done great things for them."
3  The LORD has done great things for us;
We are glad.
+++++++++++++++
When God worked in the life of Israel,
their joy caused the nations to recognize that
"The Lord has done great things for them!"
--- I wonder, can people look at my life and say
"The Lord has done great things for him"?
Something to think about. Do I rejoice at what He does?

Unreasonable PEACE

Philippians 4:6-7
6  Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.
7  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I am having to claim this peace for some friends and myself. Two of them diagnosed with cancer the last two weeks. Indeed it is unreasonable (humanly speaking) to expect peace in such a situation. But that is what God promises as we trust Him. Please join me in prayers for my friends. You don't know them, but God does! Thanks for the prayers.

God's eternal plan!

I have been posting this on another blog, and decided to put it here in
case someone stumbles over it here.

God's Eternal Plan!

Ephesians 1:3-7 (NASB)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that
we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,
6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on
us in the Beloved.
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our
trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.
+++++++++++
God's plan was set in motion before the foundation (creation) of the
world (vs 4)! That plan included His grace and mercy and our salvation.
We today through Jesus Christ can experience God's love. Do you accept it?
