KNOWING GOD'S WAY!
KNOWING GOD'S WAYS
Psalm 25:4-5
Make me know Your ways, O LORD:
Teach me Your path,
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
For You I wait all the day.

Here is a prayer for God to teach us. The main way He teaches us is through His Word. So along with this prayer, let us be students of His Word. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would bring to memory things we have been taught. For Him to bring them to mind, we must have stored them away through study.
Study the Word of God!

HOW TO KNOW GOD?
John 1:1, 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
....
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

By using the phrase "in the beginning", John took us to the creation and the Creator.
He is talking about the eternality of Jesus!
Then in verses 14 & 18 he says that we know God through Jesus.
How do we know Him? Through His written word.
Read His word to know Him. The Old and New Testament tell about Him. 3 or 4 chapters a day will take you through the whole Bible in a year.
READ THE WORD!

NEW YEAR'S ENCOURAGEMENT
Hebrews 12:1-2
"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
"fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right and of the throne of God."

As we face the future, let us keep our focus on Jesus!
We don't know what is going to happen this year, but God knows!
Trust Him in the ups and downs of life!
And notice, it says that Jesus sat down! That means His job is complete! Trust Him!
