God's unchanging love!

Psalm 136:1-3, 46 (NKJV)
1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:
.....
26 Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.

This psalm is a call to praise the LORD God.
It is also a reminder of God's mercy and love.
In a world of confusion and change, it is good to remember God's
unchanging love!
When we remember that, how can we not Praise Him!

More THANKS

Psalms 57:7-10 (NASB)
7 My heart is steadfast,
O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!
8 Awake, my glory!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will give thanks to You,
   O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to You
   among the nations.
10 For Your lovingkindness is
   great to the heavens
And Your truth to the clouds.

    During this month we will have Thanksgiving Day. For the psalmist,
every day was for thanksgiving. Hopefully we too, take time each day to
give thanks.
    Besides giving thanks to God, perhaps take time to write a note of
thanksgiving to someone in your life, past or present.
    Glorify God in all you do!

Worthy of Praise!

2 Samuel 22:1-4, 50 (NASB)
1 And David spoke the words of this song to the LORD in the day that the
LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of
Saul.
2 He said,
"The LORD is my rock and
my fortress and
my deliverer;
3 My God,
my rock, in whom I take refuge,
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold and my refuge;
My savior, You save me from violence.
4 "I call upon the LORD,
who is worthy to be praised,
And I am saved from my enemies.
...
50"Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the nations,
And I will sing praises to Your name.

    David reflected on God's deliverance and expresses his praise to
Him. These verses start a long chapter of praise and thanksgiving. As
you can, continue to read.
    As we see David's praise let's take time to reflect on God working
in our lives and give Him praise.
    As we praise Him, we are mindful of our continued need for
deliverance, personally and as a nation. So as we praise Him, we pray
for His continued deliverance and our submission!

GIVE THANKS!

I Chronicles 16:8-12 (NKJV)
8 Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
10 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!
11 Seek the LORD and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
12 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth.

    David had been made king and he had established the capital in
Jerusalem
    He felt the "ark of the covenant" should be at the seat of
government. So he built a tent and brought it there.
    The ark was the physical reminder of the presence of God. With that
in place, David gave thanks for all God had done.
    As we reflect on God's work in our lives, let us GIVE THANKS!

God's Faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-27 (NASB)
22 The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 "The LORD is my portion," says my soul,
"Therefore I have hope in Him."
25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.
26 It is good that he waits silently
For the salvation of the LORD.
27 It is good for a man that he should bear
The yoke in his youth.

    In the midst of sorrow, Jeremiah found reasons to honor and trust God!
    Whatever you are going through today, remember God is still there
to assure you!
