Luke 12:51-52 (NKJV)
Jesus said:
51 "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth?
I tell you, not at all, but rather division.
52 "For from now on five in one house will be divided:
three against two, and two against three."

This may sound strange, especially when we remember
verses like John 14:27, where Jesus said "My peace I give unto you."
As we choose to follow Jesus, we will be different from the world
in which we live. That sometimes brings animosity from those who
do not understand us. Thus, the division.
He does bring peace to the individual, but division from the world!
Not everyone will like us! They killed Jesus! Why should we be surprised
at the animosity the world has against us as followers of Jesus?!?
Just be faithful followers and He will provide for us!!

Proverbs 1:28-33 (NKJV)
28 "Then they will call on me,
but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently,
but they will not find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the LORD,
30 They would have none of my counsel
And despised my every rebuke.
31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way,
And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil."

When we ask for God's leadership, do we really want it?
Sometimes we just want Him to bless our plans!
If we are not willing to listen to Him, sometimes He will
just not answer. But for those who will listen, He gives
secure directions.
We must simply LISTEN and OBEY!
Seek God's blessings in everything,
but above all: SEEK HIS GLORY!
