WOUNDED FOR US!!
Isaiah 53:4-6 (NKJV)
4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

A good passage for thought during the Easter season.

Warnings from the past!
Psalm 81:10-14 (NKJV)
10 I am the LORD your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 "But My people would not heed My voice,
And Israel would have none of Me.
12 So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart,
To walk in their own counsels.
13 "Oh, that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
14 I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.

These words from the Psalmist written 3000 years ago,
seem to speak to today's situation in the United States!
The question: Will we heed the warning and call to repentance?

Serving Jesus?
Matthew 25:37-40 (NKJV)
37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see
You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 'When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe
You?
39 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
40 "And the King (Jesus) will answer and say to them, 'assuredly, I say
to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren,
you did it to Me."

A self searching question: What have you done for Jesus lately?
When we are available, He will show us various things to do for Him!

They had been with Jesus!
Acts 4:12-13 (NKJV)
12 (Peter said:) "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no
other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that
they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized
that they had been with Jesus.

And Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me! (John 14:6).
Indeed there is no other name by which we might be saved. It is a simple
message!
And how about that comment: "...they realized that they had been with
Jesus."?
Can people tell that you have been with Him?

Seek Counsel
Proverb 11:14 (NKJV)
Where there is no counsel,
the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors
there is safety.

Need direction in life? First seek God's word through His word.
Then seek advice from friends and those in authority.
Don't just go to those who you know will agree with you!
Then bring it all back to God in prayer and under His word!
Seek counsel and let God direct.
Where there is no counsel,

REST IN THE LORD!

prospers in his way,

wicked schemes to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret -- it only causes harm.

Your security is in the LORD, not others!
Rest in Him!

Delight in God's law!
Psalm 1:1-2 (NKJV)
1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.

Where do you go for advice?
Walk, stand, sit, are three steps
in seeking counsel from the ungodly.
Rather one should delight in the law of the LORD.
Do you delight in the Bible and read it daily???
