In uncertain times, TRUST God

Deuteronomy 31:6-8 (NKJV)
6  "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them;
for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not
leave you nor forsake you."
7 Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel,
"Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the
land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you
shall cause them to inherit it.
8  "And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with
you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."
++++++++++++++++++
    This is toward the end of Moses' farewell speech to the people. He
would die and Joshua would lead the people into the promised land. Much
uncertainty lay ahead.
    We may not be facing the same things, but there are uncertain
things in each of our futures. Let's take this as a challenge and a
promise. "Be strong and of good courage!" God is with you and will not
leave you!

Grace for life!

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NKJV)
14  Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through
the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our
weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
+++++++++++++++++++++
Most of you reading this realize that it is by the grace of God that we
have been forgiven of our sins. But grace for forgiveness and salvation
is just the beginning! We need God's grace for daily life. So whatever
you are facing today, go to Him for grace to deal with it!
To God be the glory!

Thanksgiving

Colossians 1:3-6 (NKJV)
3  We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4  since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;
5  because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,
6  which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
++++++++++++++++
Faith, love, hope, grace: Such are the words which stand out here. Paul gives thanks for seeing these in the Colossians. Can people see these in you? Do you look for them in others??
To God be the glory!

Encouraging Fellowship!

Philippians 1:3-8 (NKJV)
3  I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4  always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,
5 for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work
in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
7  just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have
you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and
confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.
8  For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the
affection of Jesus Christ.
++++++++++++++++++++++
In writing from the Roman prison, Paul expressed thanks for the
Philippians, prayed for them, and desired fellowship with them.
In our freedom, do we desire fellowship with others? We should join
together in church each week to encourage and be encouraged! Will you do
so this week?
