WHEN ALL GOES AGAINST YOU!

Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NASB)
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food'
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls ---
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer's feet.
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

     Habakkuk is probably seldom read unless you are reading through the Bible in a year! But it ends with this great affirmation of faith. He was not happy about things that were happening in the nation! Indeed, God had announced judgment!
    But he had learned to trust God, even in the difficult days. Have we learned that? Hopefully as we celebrate the birthday of Jesus, we realize that we can TRUST God regardless of what is happening.
    Merry Christmas!

GOD KNOWS!

   "The LORD is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him."

Just wondering.
Does anyone read these posts?
Should I quit using up space here?

I Need HIM!

"Let God be magnified."
But I am afflicted and needy;
Hasten to me, O God!
You are my help and my deliverer;
O LORD, do not delay.

LIFESTYLE

   See that no one repays another with evil for evil,
but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.
    Rejoice always;
    pray without ceasing;
    In everything give thanks;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER!

"For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through
our Lord Jesus Christ,
    "who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live
together with Him.
    "Therefore comfort (encourage) each other and edify one another,
just as you also are doing.

Thessalonians 5:9-11 (NASB)

of what God has done for us!

LIVING IN PEACE!

    "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you
were called in one body; andbe hankful.

    "Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom
teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

PEACE

    Jesus said, "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God,
believe also in Me.
    "Peace, I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world
gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be
fearful."

My Refuge!

The LORD is my rock and
my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold.

REST FOR A HEAVY HEART

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden,
and I will give you rest.
"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
"For My yoke is easy and
My burden is light."

STRONG IN GRACE!

    For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love
and of a sound mind.
... You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ
Jesus.  --- 2 Timothy 1:7, 2:1

    In the troubled world in which we live, this is a great reminder
and challenge!
