check your words

Proverbs 25:11-13 (NKJV)
11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold
In settings of silver.
12 Like an earring of gold and an
ornament of fine gold
Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.
13 Like the cold of snow in time of harvest
Is a faithful messenger to those who send him,
For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

How is your communication?
Is it encouraging and uplifting?
Or always complaining?
How do you receive correction?
Listen to see if there is correction needed,
then let it go!
Think before you speak!

Who do you trust?

Psalm 118: 8-9 (NKJV)
8 It is better to trust in the LORD
Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD
Than to put confidence in princes.
+++++++++++++++++++++++
In these days of tumult, it is good to know we have a God
who knows whats happening! We must trust in Him and not
in the promises of men and princes. (i.e. political promises!)
So whatever the issue in your life for today or for the future
remember to trust in God who knows all about your need!

I was gone the first part of the week to "Jubilee", a conference at
Branson, MO,
for senior adults. Someone likened it to camp for seniors. Anyway, it
was a good week.

Only ONE way!

Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)
There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.
John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, "I am the way,
the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through Me!
+++++++++++++++++++++++
I have heard it said that many roads lead to Rome!
That may be true, but I'm not going to Rome.
My goal is heaven and Jesus said He is the only way!
Are you on the right road???

Acceptable thoughts.

Psalm 19:14 (NKJV)
Let the words of my mouth and
the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
++++++++++++++++
Seems like a good prayer and goal to me!
His glory is what I seek!

Looking Above your troubles!

2 Corinthians 4:15-18 (NKJV)
15 For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through
the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is
perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for
us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things
which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the
things which are not seen are eternal.
++++++++++++++++
Paul has talked about the things he has suffered. Then he called them
"light affliction"!
Since we have not suffered anything like Paul, our suffering must not
make the scale! What he wants to encourage us to is to look ahead and
look UPWARD! and reminds us that God is to be glorified!
So, Look up and glorify God, and watch Him provide for you!

Trust in the Lord!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
+++++++++++++++++++++
We trust many things in this life. But in the days we are living through,
we sometimes wonder if we can trust anything.
Indeed, we are living through some troublesome, confused days,
but, the issue is not what we trust, but rather WHO we trust.
We are called to trust God, even when we do not understand why He
leads in the way He does.
He has promised to lead us
if we will commit ourselves
to trust Him and following Him.
--- TRUST God and depend on Him in this troublesome time!

Trusting God with the impossible

Luke 1:37-38 (NKJV)
37 "For with God nothing will be impossible."
38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maid servant of the Lord!
Let it be to me according to your word."
+++++++++++++++++++
The angel told Mary she would bear a son.
How could this be, since she was a virgin?
With God nothing is impossible.
What impossibility are you facing?
If it is of God, it is not impossible!
Trust God and glorify Him!
