REMEMBER THE LORD'S WORK

DO NOT FORGET THE LORD!

Deuteronomy 8:1-20

INTRO: Moses is giving his farewell address to the people of Israel. He calls them to remember what God has done for them and live lives of dedication to Him. These are good lessons for us. Remember, lest you forget.

REMEMBER

   God's leadership through the dessert

He humbled them by permitting hunger then FED them.

      He tested them

He provided clothing. Their feet did not swell!

THEREFORE

Observe the commands of God (6)

      Walk in His ways

      Revere Him

Praise the Lord for the good land (10)

BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT FORGET (11)

   You may become proud

You may forget what God has done.

You may take credit for yourself (17)

GOAL (vs. 1)

   Follow commandments

Live and prosper in the land

Possess the land that the Lord promised

HOW ABOUT US? Do we take time to see what God has done and is doing? Do we live lives of appreciation or do we forget what He does and take credit. If we do, we may suffer. (19)
