WHEN GOD COMES
God comes into our lives to save us and to give us many wonderful blessings. His grace and mercy are limitless.
After we know Him as Father,
He comes to minister to our every need.
What is God wanting to do in your life today?
When God Comes to You
John 4:1-30
INTRO: In this chapter we have a classic example of Jesus search for lost mankind. We can study it from Jesus point of view or from the woman's point of view. We look at the hunter or the hunted. We will do a little of both.
OVERCOMING BARRIERS
Several barriers are observed between Jesus and the woman:
Race
Sexual
Religion
Moral
WHEN GOD COMES
He comes to you where you are.
It may be a time of deep need.
It may be a time of loss.
It may be in the midst of a busy life or when life is slow
He comes with love
He comes to offer meaning and purpose. Life, peace, etc
He comes with patience.
HOW WE RESPOND
We often respond in defense.
We generally make excuses.
We don't believe He knows how we feel.
But we must choose to receive Him.
Then we will know Him and His love.
He will make changes to make us as He wants!
Has God come for you today? What situation are you facing? Is He there calling you to trust Him in that? He calls us to accept life and forgiveness. But He also calls us to give us meaning, purpose, peace, contentment, etc.
