The Life of Christ
Galatians 5:22-26 (NASB)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit,
26 Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

Paul talks here about the life style the Spirit (God) wants to grow for us. As I reflect on it, this describes the life of Christ. If we belong to Him (have trusted Him as Savior) then we should be developing His life in ours. We cannot do that on our own. There is where God comes in. He works in us to produce the fruit He wants.
It is not a cafeteria, where we can pick and choose which fruit we want! God is at work to produce all of this in our lives. Some think there is one fruit (love) with 8 facets. However you see it, God is at work to develop your lifestyle so as to bring glory to Him!
The choice we have is to let Him do His work. So go forth and bear fruit!
